In Vitebsk region, a red deer that almost became a poacher's victim was rescued

The deer got caught in a poacher's snare, but specialists managed to free the animal with the help of special tools.

During a territory inspection, employees of the natural resources inspectorate found another metal snare, as well as a noose made of nylon thread.

A local resident who owns a dacha nearby became a suspect in their installation. Hunting weapons, cartridges with buckshot, fishing nets, and a moonshine still were found in his house.

An investigation is currently underway, and the question of initiating a criminal case is being decided.
