In Gomel, a man had his internet disconnected because he liked to travel as a fare dodger
A 32-year-old resident of Gomel accumulated about a thousand rubles in debt for fare dodging on public transport, because for a long time he ignored the fines imposed on him, reported the Main Department of Justice of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee.

As a result, coercive measures were applied to the principled "fare dodger": access to gambling was restricted, mobile communication and the internet were disconnected. It was this that forced the man to pay off the debt.
The compulsory enforcement service notes that since the beginning of the year, over a thousand similar cases have already been initiated, and tens of thousands of rubles have been recovered from offenders.
The law provides 30 days to pay the fine voluntarily. If this is not done, the amount increases due to additional payments and collection fees. Further possible actions include seizure of accounts, property, and other restrictions.
