«To assign Vitikaŭ compulsory medical measures, involving placement in a closed-type psychiatric hospital with intensive supervision,» — the court said.
In June 2025, a video appeared in the media showing a man in the airport's arrival area grabbing a toddler and forcefully throwing him to the floor. After the incident, Vitikaŭ was arrested. During the court proceedings, he pleaded guilty and stated that he had previously been registered with a diagnosis of «schizophrenia».
The investigation established that at the time of the incident, the man was under the influence of drugs. The injured boy was discharged from the hospital in July. A criminal case was initiated against Vitikaŭ on the fact of attempted murder, committed while not fully conscious of his actions.
