In the train Vitebsk—Minsk, a drunken passenger stabbed a fellow traveler in the neck
The brutal attack took place on the evening of February 12 on a train traveling from Vitebsk to Minsk.

On the stretch near the "Barysaŭ" station, a 36-year-old resident of the Vitebsk region, while drunk, stabbed a 45-year-old fellow traveler in the neck, writes "Minskaya Prauda".
The man was traveling in the third car. Having a ticket for the upper berth, he arbitrarily occupied a side seat and from the very beginning behaved aggressively: he harassed a foreigner, made obscene comments to a young girl, and drank alcohol, adding it to his tea.

Approximately an hour and a half into the journey, an argument broke out between him and a neighbor. The drunken passenger began to insult the man and threaten him with violence.
At the "Barysaŭ" station, both agreed to get out and sort things out on the street. But, without waiting for the stop, the man suddenly pulled out a folding knife and stabbed his opponent in the neck.
Eyewitnesses did not lose their composure and immediately began to provide first aid to the victim. At the next station — in Zhodzina — the man was emergency hospitalized in intensive care, and the attacker was detained.
"Doctors diagnosed him with a stab wound to the neck with damage to the carotid arteries, as well as the jugular veins," the Investigative Committee specified. The injuries are classified as severe.
A criminal case has been initiated.
