Raccoon Senya, who arrived illegally from America, turned out to be female
It was discovered at the "Animal Park" near Baranovichi that raccoon Senya, who had previously entered Belarus illegally in a container with cars, is actually not male, but female. This became known during veterinary procedures, writes "Minskaya Prauda".

Park employees are now looking for a new name for the raccoon through social networks. Among the suggested options are Yesenia, Sonya, and Sasha. The question of changing the animal's documents remains open - it is not yet known whether her "passport" will be adjusted due to the new data.
Previously, raccoon Senya became famous after an unexpected journey across the Atlantic Ocean. In January 2026, Belarusian customs found him during the unloading of a sea container from the USA. The animal apparently snuck into the container during loading and calmly endured the long journey, napping on the dashboard of one of the cars.
After mandatory quarantine, the raccoon was moved to the Oshmyany district veterinary station, where he was given the name Arseniy. After all procedures, he moved to the Baranovichi animal park "Dipriz".
