In Belarus, at least two road bridges were submerged during the spring flood, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) press service reported.

One flooding event occurred in Lyozno district near the village of Kuchynshchyna, where the Ardyshouska river overflowed. The water rose so much that it covered the bridge's road surface by approximately 25 centimeters.
According to rescuers, there is no danger to residential buildings or yards. Only two people live in the village to which this bridge leads. One of them is temporarily staying with relatives.
Now the settlement can only be reached via a pedestrian suspension bridge over the Luchosa river. MES employees continue to monitor the hydrological situation in this area.
A similar case was recorded also in Mstsislaw district. Here, a low-water bridge over the Sozh river has been flooded, as well as a section of the road between the villages of Paradzina and Zasozhzhya near the village of Paradzina. The bridge is located approximately one kilometer from it and leads to the village of Zasozhzhya, but it is now completely submerged.

It is reported that no one lives in the village of Zasozhzhya itself, and there are no summer cottages there. Such floodings occur almost annually during the Sozh overflow, as the bridge was originally designed as a low-water bridge.
As of March 15, the water level over the bridge's road surface was about 15-20 centimeters, making vehicle passage impossible. From March 16, traffic across the bridge is officially prohibited, and the road will be blocked with appropriate road signs.
