Men in Belarus die earlier, their average lifetime is shorter that women’s. Thus, for 1,000 men in Belarus there are 1,152 women though there are 945 newborn girls for 1,000 newborn boys.
The number of men in Belarus is estimated 4,398,000 (as of early 2012 according to official statistics) what makes 46.5 per cent of total population.

The average Belarusian man is 37 years’ old.
The average marital age for man is 26.6 years. It increased significantly since 90s — in 1991 the average marital for males was 23 y.o.
33 per cent of all men marry at 25–29 y.o., almost the same number of men get married at 20–24 y.o. (32.5 per cent). The average age for deuterogamy is 40.
This year became the first when the divorce ratio passed 50 per cent (and in Minsk it is 70 per cent).
How about the men’s health? The National Statistics Committee Belstat says that every fourth man do sports or exercise but only every eighth does it on daily basis.
Still, more than half men smoke and 7.1 per cent of them smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day despite smoking results illnesses and deterioration of health by 50 years.
