If you are in Lithuania, you can support "Nasha Niva" in a minute with income tax, without spending your own money. Here's how

Those who work officially in Poland and Lithuania, regardless of your citizenship, when filing a tax return for the past year, can direct 1.2—1.5% of their income tax to the activities of public organizations. You won't spend any of your own money — you simply have the right to specifically direct a part of the income tax you have already paid towards various public causes of your choice. And it's simple to do, taking you only one minute. Please, this year, support Belarusian initiatives with your tax. Here's how to do it. Today we provide instructions for Lithuania. If you work in Poland, go here .

All residents of Lithuania — including Belarusians with any type of residence permit — must file an annual tax return. When filing, they can transfer 1.2% of their income tax to any non-profit organizations of their choice. You can choose "Nasha Niva" or another Belarusian initiative. If you don't name any organization, the money will still be allocated, but the Lithuanian state will decide how to spend it. We have developed a detailed explanation of how you can help the Editorial Board of "Nasha Niva" without spending an extra cent.

To file the mandatory tax return in Lithuania, you need to log into the electronic tax declaration system EDS, and there click on "Prisijungti prie EDS" (Log in to EDS).

Next, you need to choose the system through which you will authorize yourself in the EDS system.

In our example, this will be done via Swedbank, where you can choose Russian for the interface.

After successful authorization in E-services, you need to select the VMI section and click "увайсці" (log in).

After this, you will enter the EDS portal, where the declaration will be filled out.

To start filling it out, you need to click on the globe icon.

This page is only available in Lithuanian, but further on, the interface language can be changed to Russian.

If you already have a Lithuanian residence permit from 2024 or earlier and work for a Lithuanian company, then for tax purposes, you are considered a permanent resident in any case.

Next, you fill out the declaration by answering the questions in the text.

After you have answered all the questions, the system will offer you to generate and submit the declaration, after which you will see the amount that the state should return to you, or the amount that you must pay extra.

Below will be a line stating that you have the opportunity to allocate a portion of your income tax.

There you need to click on "Я хачу падтрымаць" (I want to support).

Further, the interface will be only in Lithuanian, but it will not be difficult to figure out.

To start filling out the form, click "Pradėti" (Start).

In the search bar, you need to enter the code of the organization you want to support by transferring 1.2% of the already paid income tax amount.

"Nasha Niva"'s number is 305965367. After entering our organization's code, the name of our legal entity in Lithuania will appear: Viešoji įstaiga «Nasha Niva Fund».

Having selected "Nasha Niva" (Viešoji įstaiga «Nasha Niva Fund») from the list, click "Testi" (Continue).

In the next step, in the "Mokesčio dalies dydis (procentais)" (Tax portion size (in percent)) field, enter the numbers 1,2.

And then click on "Išsaugoti" (Save).

After that, you need to confirm your choice again and click on "Taip, teisingi" (Yes, correct).

In this simple and completely free way, you can support "Nasha Niva" — a bastion of Belarusian identity and a source of information for all our people, both here and there.

As information becomes available, we will also tell you which other Belarusian initiatives you can support in this way. And please do support them!

Because we, together, are Belarus.
