Heorhii Tikhyi stated that Ukraine itself did not and could not have directed its drones towards Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
According to him, after the investigation, it was found that in a number of cases, drones deviated from their course due to the impact of Russian electronic warfare systems.
The Ukrainian side emphasized that it maintains constant contact with the Baltic countries and sincerely apologized to them for the incidents. It was also noted that the main cause of such incidents is Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Earlier, several drones, during attacks on Russian facilities near St. Petersburg, veered off course and entered the territory of the Baltic states — some of them fell in Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania. Also, one of the drones violated Finland's airspace, for which Ukraine also apologized.
