A technopark is planned in Vitebsk on the territory of the "Vityaz" plant
Part of the territory of the Vitebsk TV plant "Vityaz" is planned to be used for the construction of a city technopark. This was announced on December 24 by Roman Golovchenko, Chairman of the Board of the National Bank, during a visit to the Vitebsk region.

According to Roman Golovchenko, the experience of the technopark created on the basis of the Minsk Motorcycle and Bicycle Plant should be expanded in Belarus, and Vitebsk should not stay aside from these processes. For now, the issue is at an early stage of consideration, but, as the official noted, work will proceed quite quickly.
Currently, according to Golovchenko, the regional executive committee has drawn the attention of the "Vityaz" management to the presence of unused surplus areas. They are proposed either for repurposing or demolition.
A scheme is also planned where banks will be directly involved in the project and will partially become participants in the technopark. This includes not only financing the creation of infrastructure but also supporting startups that will develop on this platform.
Assessing the economic situation in the region as a whole, the head of the National Bank noted that the Vitebsk region operates in difficult conditions but has significant potential for growth. According to him, special attention should be paid to enterprises with chronic financial problems, for which difficult but necessary decisions must be made.
