Russia attacked one of Kharkiv's main roads with KABs. Two people died.

Today, December 26, Russian troops launched an airstrike on Kharkiv, using three guided bombs. One of them directly hit the roadway in the Shevchenkivskyi district — one of the city's busiest thoroughfares. The other two bombs fell outside Kharkiv.

Currently, two men are known to have died. Eight more people were injured. Among the injured is a nine-month-old girl who sustained forehead injuries from glass fragments. She and her mother were hospitalized for examination.

Several cars caught fire immediately after the explosion, trapping people inside. The blast wave damaged about 20 residential buildings, with severe roof destruction in four of them. A gas pipeline was severed, and the tram's contact network was damaged.

The head of the regional prosecutor's office, Amil Amaraŭ, reported that the Russians used modified UMPB-5 guided bombs, launched from the Belgorod region. This type of munition allows striking at long distances.

The city's utility services plan to work all night to close broken windows and restore heating in damaged homes, as Kharkiv is currently experiencing cold weather. Mayor Ihor Terekhov emphasized that the main task is not to leave people without warmth.
