A 32-year-old woman lived in an apartment on Lt. Kizhavatov Street with a 19-year-old friend. One day, the landlady was cooking in the kitchen when a conflict arose between her and her intoxicated friend, Minsk-Novosti reports .
The girl, in a fit of emotion, started throwing everything off the table, then threw a plate at the woman — the crockery hit the cupboard and broke. Afterwards, she approached her friend and began hitting her on the back with her hands.
The woman suddenly turned around and stabbed her friend in the stomach, and then in the back. Seeing blood, she became frightened and began to administer first aid, but did not call an ambulance. In the morning, the victim's condition worsened.
Initially, the friends planned to go to the emergency room by taxi, but later they still called an ambulance crew. The girl was taken to the hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery.
According to the expert's conclusion, she had sustained severe bodily harm.
A criminal case was initiated against the Minsk resident. She partially admitted guilt — insisting that the victim allegedly impaled herself on the knife, and repented for what she had done.
The court found her guilty of intentionally causing severe bodily harm, meaning injury dangerous to life, and sentenced her to two and a half years of restricted freedom at home.
