An unknown work by Yazep Drazdovich has been found

It was kept in Poland in a family collection.

That very painting

News about a new work by Belarusian artist Yazep Drazdovich came from a Facebook post. Adam Matsko from Poland posted a photo of the painting and wrote:

“As far as I know from family legends, its author is an artist who traveled around the Vilna region and created such “works” for money. That is, he painted on commission. As the signature suggests, his surname was Drazdovich. The painting depicts my paternal grandfather's house, which was located in the village of Naviny, not far from Dzisna."

The painting is dated 1937 and bears Drazdovich's signature.

The artist indeed traveled extensively through the Vilna and Dzisna regions and painted on commission to earn a living.
