The search for the missing 21-year-old Yana Kastrankova lasted almost two weeks.

Contact with the girl was lost on December 30, 2025. She lived in "Mayak Minsk".
Yana's mother wrote on social networks that her daughter's phone was last detected on that day at 18:27 near Chelyuskintsev Park. The woman said that she spoke with her daughter on the day of her disappearance at approximately 14:30. Yana said that she would probably come to her parents to celebrate New Year.
Thanks to city cameras, it was only possible to find out that at 16:30 Yana entered "Dana Mall", and then met with a woman near Uruchcha metro station. That woman was the owner of an apartment that Yana wanted to rent but changed her mind – the woman returned the deposit to her near the metro.

On January 12, the body of a girl was found in a reservoir of the Slepianka water system. The deceased was identified as Yana.
As it turned out, the girl's body was found in the water approximately one kilometer from Chelyuskintsev Park, where her phone was last detected.

21-year-old Yana Kastrankova, judging by her social media, worked as a photographer. She is the daughter of Yury Kastrankov, director of OJSC "Agra-Liaskavičy" (a farm that is part of the Presidential Affairs Department structure). Yury was appointed to the position last year in February 2025. A couple of months ago, he reported to Lukashenka, who decided to visit the agro-complex in an exemplary agrotown in Petrykav District.
