Pensioner "registered" an electronic medical card by phone and became a "special services agent"
A 74-year-old Minsk resident lost thousands of dollars and participated in a criminal scheme. Scammers so confused the woman that she agreed to play the role of a "special services agent".

The Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs in the capital was contacted by a 74-year-old Minsk resident, who received a call on her landline from an alleged поликлиника employee. The unknown person reported that the institution was transitioning to an electronic form of issuing medical cards and that her data was required for registration, according to the press service of the Minsk police.
Further, the pensioner received a video call from an alleged law enforcement officer, who informed her that she had become a victim of fraudsters and persuaded her to assist in a secret operation.
For this, he ordered her to travel to another city by taxi and pick up a package from someone else's mailbox.
Having followed all instructions, the woman returned to Minsk and met with a courier. She handed over the stranger's parcel and her own 4 thousand US dollars to the unknown person, believing she was declaring them.
After some time, the Minsk resident realized she had been deceived and contacted the police.
