New trains from Minsk to Vitebsk and Mogilev are being replaced with old ones
Belarusian Railways announced that from February 3, some services between Minsk and Vitebsk, as well as between Minsk and Mogilev, will be operated not by modern Polish-made diesel trains DP-3 and DP-6, but by ordinary locomotive-hauled rolling stock.

In the Vitebsk direction, the change will affect individual trains on February 3 and 4. And from February 5, all services with numbers 703/704, 711/712, and 713/714 will entirely switch to traditional locomotive-hauled compositions.
In the Mogilev direction, from February 3 to 5, interregional business-class trains Minsk — Mogilev — Minsk will be switched to old compositions «due to technical reasons».
Belarusian Railways does not specify the reasons or duration of this replacement. Passengers who have already purchased tickets for more comfortable trains are promised a refund of the price difference. They also warn that due to the change in rolling stock, deviations from the usual schedule are possible.
Previously, Belarusian Railways had already replaced modern trains with ordinary electric trains in other directions due to the need for repairs of Stadler low-floor trains.
