The Ukrainian side has not yet reported on the operation. Russian military correspondents admit that Ukrainians managed to enter the urban-type settlement of Ternuvate.

Ukrainian assault troops managed to break through the Russian line of defense, but the depth at which they will be able to consolidate is not yet clear.
"In the last few days, the 'communication' factor has made its adjustments, and not in our favor," admits Yuri Podolyaka, a Russian military correspondent close to the Kremlin, acknowledging the problems. "And the enemy took advantage of this, among other things, as well as the fogs that have started here, by transferring units of SEVEN assault regiments and THREE assault brigades to the 'Vostok' grouping's sector, trying to defeat our 'Far Eastern' armies. In essence, the main battle of the winter campaign has begun here, the outcome of which will decide a lot," writes Podolyaka.
Rybar, a military correspondent linked to the Russian Ministry of Defense, drew such a map of the situation. He claims that separate groups of Ukrainians managed to penetrate deep into positions previously occupied by Russian troops, but there is no talk of stable control yet. However, it should be noted that "Rybar" presents information in a way that benefits Moscow.

Huliaipole, or Huliaipole, is a town in the Zaporizhzhia region, which had a population of 13,000 before the war. Its capture became the greatest success of the Russian army in the last six months.
The defense of Huliaipole lasted almost four years, from March 2022. In October 2025, Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Huliaipole the title of "Hero City."
Russian troops broke through near Huliaipole three months ago, in early November 2025, when they occupied the strategically important villages of Solodke, Nova, and Uspenivka.
The defensive failure occurred when a poorly trained Ukrainian battalion panicked after a small group of Russian assault troops entered the city. The AFU command post in Huliaipole was abandoned without a fight.
Over the next three months, the Russians managed to advance 5–15 kilometers in the western direction here. Now the Ukrainians have pushed back several kilometers.
