Second Round of Russia-Ukraine Negotiations with US Mediation Kicks Off in Abu Dhabi
The meetings will be held behind closed doors and are expected to last two days.
Negotiations began in a trilateral format — Ukraine, the USA, and Russia, confirmed Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
According to the NSDC Secretary, who heads the Ukrainian delegation, the next step is work in separate thematic groups, followed by a joint re-synchronization of positions.
"We are working within the clear directives of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to achieve a dignified and lasting peace. We inform the head of state about the progress of each stage of negotiations," added Rustem Umerov.
The Russian delegation, as last time, is headed by Igor Kostyukov, Chief of the Main Directorate of the General Staff.
