Belarusians rank second among immigrants.

Last year, 71,400 foreigners came to work in Lithuania, including 59,400 citizens of third countries, writes Delfi with reference to the Employment Service.
One-third of the new workforce came from Ukraine, one-fifth from Belarus (i.e., about 14,000), 10.2% from Uzbekistan, and another 5.8% from India.
At the same time, the largest number of representatives from EU countries arrived from Romania — 4,800, Latvia — 2,700, and Poland — 1,800.
“Last year, the number of third-country nationals arriving for work decreased by 5% (i.e., by 3,000 people), while the flow of foreigners from European countries increased by 25%. The reduction in the number of workers from third countries was mainly due to a decrease in the flows of Belarusians, Azerbaijanis, Tajiks, Kyrgyz, and Moldovans,” says Giedrė Sinkevičė, Deputy Director of the Employment Service.
