A few days before his Olympic failure, American figure skater Ilia Malinin gave an interview on The Today Show, which later turned into hate for him, writes Championat.com.

The source reports that in that interview, Malinin said he loves many things: drawing, telling stories, playing video games for relaxation, and listening to various music. But he honestly admitted that there is one artist he doesn't listen to — pop icon Taylor Swift.
"Taylor Swift?" the host asked.
"No," Malinin replied, clarifying that he is not a fan of hers.
Later, Malinin experienced the worst moment of his professional career. Being one step away from his first individual gold medal, he made serious mistakes and finished the competition in eighth place.
However, public attention shifted from his fall to his words about Swift. Fans of the singer — "Swifties" — reacted sharply to his comment on social media.
A meme featuring "Tayvoodoo" appeared online — a jocular term for the power of Swift's fan support, which supposedly could "avenge" Malinin's words.
