Near Myadel, a winery with a 200-year history has finally been sold
The Ilovo winery in Myadel district, which was founded almost 200 years ago, has finally been sold. At the auction on February 18, it was bought for just over 1.2 million rubles, which is almost 10 times less than the initial price, writes Office Life.

Before this, the plant belonged to the local UE "Ilovo". Previously, it was profitable, producing fruit and berry wines, calvados, juices, and other products.
But from 2018, the enterprise faced financial problems: production became uncompetitive amid rising raw material prices and changing buyer preferences. The plant was sent for rehabilitation, one of the conditions of which was its sale and the attraction of an investor.
In the final stage, the plant operated "by inertia", even organizing industrial tourism and excursions. The space for this was good: the plant was built in 1832 by a local landlord, and the blending shop is preserved in a historic rubble stone building.
The initial price at auction was about 11 million rubles; in November, it was 3.3 million. The new owner acquired the premises, all equipment, transport, raw materials, and other property.
