Dutch speed skater unzipped to her bra after Olympic victory. Will she be punished?
No sanctions will be imposed on Olympic speed skating champion Jutta Leerdam for unzipping her sports suit after her victory and showing her white Nike branded sports bra. This was reported by representatives of the International Olympic Committee.

The 27-year-old Dutch athlete won the Olympics in Italy in the 1000 meters. After finishing, she unzipped her suit, which is common practice among speed skaters, as the equipment fits very tightly to the body. But Leerdam clearly overdid it with the depth of the unzipping.
The photo quickly spread online, and media reported that for such a public display of underwear, the girl could have received about a million dollars.
However, IOC Marketing Director Anne-Sophie Voumard noted that Leerdam's action was not a marketing ploy; it corresponds to the usual behavior of athletes after a race.
At the Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Jutta Leerdam, in addition to gold in the 1000 meters, won silver in the 500 meters.
Previously, in 2022, Leerdam won silver at the Beijing Games in the 1000 meters. She has also won five world championships in individual distances and became a world champion in sprint allround.
