Mandatory labeling of juices and soft drinks introduced from May 1
Belarus is preparing for the introduction of mandatory labeling for soft drinks and juices. The new rules will come into force on May 1.

From March 1 to April 30, labeling will be voluntary. This time is given to manufacturers and importers to test equipment and processes. Those who start labeling goods in advance will be able to enter the new regime from May without problems.
An important nuance concerns product residues. All products that will be in the warehouses of enterprises on May 1, 2026, without special codes, are also subject to mandatory labeling. The main goal of the innovation is transparent accounting of goods and protection of the market from illegal products.
To allow businesses to calmly label their stocks before the deadline, the labeling system operator (RUE "Belblankavyd") began issuing identification codes as early as August 1, 2025. And since September 8 last year, functionality for transmitting data on applying labels to packaging has been available.
