The Number of Foreign Tourists in Belarusian Sanatoriums Has Increased Further

Foreign tourists have started coming to Belarusian sanatoriums for holidays even more often. In 2025, about 260 thousand people from approximately 80 countries improved their health there, setting a new record, reported on the air of "First Informational".

The number of foreigners in Belarusian sanatoriums is gradually growing year by year: in 2024 there were more than 246 thousand, in 2023 — about 217 thousand, and in 2022 — more than 188 thousand.

In total, Belarusian sanatoriums welcomed about 1.6 million people in 2025. Of these, almost 800 thousand received health improvement services under preferential conditions. Approximately 100 million dollars are allocated for this annually from the state budget.

The sanatorium-resort sector accounts for a significant share of the country's export of tourist services — almost half. Sanatorium revenues in 2025 exceeded 1.5 billion rubles and grew by more than 20% compared to the previous year.

Furthermore, the demand for holidays in sanatoriums remains very high: more than 90% of vouchers for summer 2026 are already booked.
