A large queue has appeared in Minsk near the "Spartyvnaya" metro station, where one of the capital's largest fitness centers has opened. A lot of people gathered precisely near it, which sparked active discussion on social networks.

Tochka.by journalists studied the reaction of Minsk residents on Threads. One user posted a photo of the queue and wrote that this was an example of "freebie": the new gym offered a free trial session. She ironically noted that people are willing to stand in queues not only for food.

Opinions in the comments were divided. Some did not understand why people would waste time in queues and doubted that all these people truly had financial difficulties. Others explained that a 50% discount on memberships is active in the first days after the opening, and a free session allows evaluating the gym before deciding to use it on a paid basis.

Some users joked that Belarusians simply love standing in queues, while others claimed that the craving for "freebies" is supposedly ingrained in the mentality. There were also critical remarks — for instance, that people came for free, but afterwards still wouldn't exercise because they'd begrudge the money.
At the same time, a positive opinion was voiced: regardless of motivation, it's pleasant to see many young people striving to play sports and take care of their health.
