"He (Zelensky) said that he would like to conclude an agreement. Actually, there's not much else to add here. All parameters are known. It's not like we're discussing something new — these issues have been discussed for 6-7 months already. He came and said he wants to agree," said the US President.
According to Trump, there is an obstacle to signing the agreement — "the same one that has existed throughout the past year." Trump called the meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Davos "very good."
Trump also reported that during the meeting with Zelensky, potential membership of Ukraine in the Peace Council he is creating — an organization that none of the traditional Western European allies of the USA have yet joined — was not discussed.
Ukraine received an invitation to the organization but is still considering it.
The meeting between Zelensky and Trump took place yesterday in Davos and lasted approximately 50 minutes. Zelensky's team called it good.
