Lithuanian PM: I do not see a warming in relations with Belarus, and there are no reasons for it
Inga Ruginienė states that relations between Lithuania and Belarus are unlikely to warm in the near future, and for Minsk, «it is more important to demonstrate strength» in interactions with Vilnius.

«For now, I do not see a warming in these relations and, probably, there are no reasons for it,» the head of government stated in an interview with BNS on Tuesday, LRT reports.
I. Ruginienė noted that she also discussed relations between Vilnius and Minsk with Maria Kalesnikava, one of the representatives of the Belarusian opposition.
«As long as Belarus shows aggression, as long as it perceives only the language of force, sees that we can only be influenced by pressure, (…) we truly do not see an opportunity to at least slightly 'unfreeze' these relations. We do not communicate in the language of force and we clearly state this,» the Prime Minister said.
According to Remigijus Matuzas, Chairman of the Seimas Committee on Foreign Affairs, a specific meeting between the Deputy Ministers of Lithuania and Belarus is not currently being coordinated, but Vilnius is discussing what the content of negotiations with Minsk could be and on what neutral territory they could take place.
