Closer to 4:00 PM, a message appeared in the chat stating that an ambulance was parked near the Italian visa center and no one was being allowed inside.
"The security guard woman said they wouldn't [let people in]. I couldn't pick up my passport, but I stood for five minutes and left," one of the chat participants described the situation.
Later, when asked what happened, another person replied: "A person died."
According to the messages, someone who came to the center felt unwell.
"They are waiting for the police, before that they tried to resuscitate, apparently unsuccessfully," one of the witnesses to the incident reported.
At 4:37 PM, the chat administrator wrote: "Human death changes many plans... They might just not exist anymore."
"I was there at the moment. And believe me, such a horror was happening there that the employees were not at all concerned with verification," one of the users wrote in response to a question about whether verification would continue.
"We were among the last to leave after submitting documents," another participant in the conversation noted around 5:00 PM. "We were received on the upper floor. The situation is unpleasant, people are impatient, many don't care about someone else's grief.
No one was yelling at anyone, it's understandable that the staff were in a panic, everyone was confused and anxious. I understand that it's inconvenient for non-residents to come tomorrow, so they were accommodated and given their passports. They worked as quickly as they could. The police only arrived ten minutes ago, they wouldn't have been able to change anything today anyway."
There is no official information about the incident yet in the Telegram channels of the Investigative Committee and the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
