Mother beat 12-year-old daughter for being glued to her phone and not coming to dinner

In the Mogilev region, the police received a statement from a 7th-grade student alleging that her mother had beaten her during an argument.
The incident occurred in December. The 12-year-old girl's mother called her to dinner several times, but she refused, as she was playing on her phone and didn't want to eat.
To her mother's repeated request to put the phone away, the teenager reacted aggressively, and the woman, angered by the fact that her daughter spends a lot of time on her phone, hit the girl several times with her palms and a belt. A week later, the teenager contacted the polyclinic and the police.
According to the expert's conclusion, a bruise was found on the schoolgirl's shoulder, 1-2 weeks old, which was formed by the impact of a blunt hard object and does not fall under serious bodily injuries that resulted in short-term health disorder or minor loss of work capacity.
Based on the results of the investigation, a decision was made to refuse to initiate a criminal case.
