In Azerbaijan, former Nagorno-Karabakh president and ex-speaker received life sentences
In total, there are 15 defendants in the case, including the state minister of unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Ruben Vardanyan.

The Baku military court sentenced Arayik Harutyunyan, former president of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, to life imprisonment, writes Current Time.
Besides Harutyunyan, life sentences were received by:
- former commander of the army of the unrecognized republic Levon Mnatsakanyan;
- former deputy army commander David Manukyan;
- former speaker of the NKR parliament David Ishkhanyan;
- former head of the NKR Ministry of Foreign Affairs David Babayan.
Former NKR presidents Arkady Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan were sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment. According to the Criminal Code, they cannot be sentenced to life imprisonment because at the time of the verdict, the men were 65 years old.
The announcement of verdicts continues. In total, there are 15 defendants in the case, including the state minister of unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Ruben Vardanyan. They are, in particular, accused of preparing and waging aggressive war, violating laws and customs of war, genocide, financing terrorism, violent seizure of power, and murder.
