U.S. President's special envoy Steve Whitkoff expressed hope that a new round of talks on Ukraine could take place within the next three weeks, leading to a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Jared [Kushner] and I hope that we have presented both sides with some proposals that will lead to them meeting within the next three weeks and perhaps even lead to a summit between Zelensky and President Putin. At some point, it could even become a trilateral meeting with the [U.S.] President, we'll see," he said in an interview with Fox News.
The special envoy did not reveal the details of the new proposals.
According to Whitkoff, active preparatory work is currently underway, and Washington expects positive dynamics. He expressed hope that "good news will emerge in the coming weeks" regarding the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
