The number of injured has risen to 25 people. Six law enforcement officers are in serious condition.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported the detention of a person suspected of committing a terrorist act in Lviv.
“Twenty-five people were injured, one person died. My condolences to the relatives… The investigation has been provided with all necessary resources. Necessary procedural actions with the detained person are ongoing. The Ministry of Internal Affairs will inform about all necessary details,” the President of Ukraine stated.
Currently, 11 people are in medical institutions. Six law enforcement officers are in serious condition.
“Police officers go out on calls daily and nightly, not knowing what awaits them. But they rush to help, because protecting people is their main task. I am grateful to the entire team of law enforcement officers working on solving and investigating this crime. The perpetrators must face court and receive a fair punishment for what they have done,” stated Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Klymenko.
He also showed a photo of the detained woman.

Around 00:30, powerful explosions rocked the area of Shpitalna Street when police arrived on a false call about illegal entry into a store.
When a second patrol police crew arrived at the scene of the terrorist attack, another explosion occurred.
A 23-year-old female police officer died, police reported. Viktoriia Shpilka came to Lviv from Kherson. Last year, she married a police officer.
