«Gigabytes ran out, video 'stalls'». Belarusians share if they have enough mobile internet after restrictions
Since February 23, internet speed has been restricted in Belarus on tariffs with unlimited traffic. Belarusians are actively discussing whether the allocated 30 gigabytes per month will be enough for them and what the internet looks like at reduced speed.

According to the Ministry of Communications, only 15% of mobile internet users exceed the 30‑gigabyte per month threshold.
An MTS user from Gomel, who writes that his 30 gigabytes of high-speed internet have already run out, shares observations: social networks load normally, but video even at 480p 'stalls'.
«I looked at the statistics, in 30 days it's about 62 GB, so these 30 will last at best for two weeks. But even now the speeds are awful, what will happen after these 30 gigs run out, I can't even imagine,» writes a woman.
«Burnt through 30 gigs in 2 days. Speed is terrible at 1Mbit. Switched to the cheapest A1 tariff and connected an 'unlimited' package for 19 rubles (now it's on promotion for 16). But the speed is still garbage. Severe drops sometimes below 1Mbit,» complains another man.
Someone shares that they used 24 gigabytes last month, so in principle, this restriction does not affect them.
Another girl writes that her tariff includes 10 gigabytes of traffic and that is enough for her.
But not everyone is so economical.
A man writes that he used 1 GB in just half a day. Another commenter adds that she used 5 gigabytes in a day.

Another commenter consumes about 18‑19 gigabytes of mobile internet.
Besides the 30 GB limits, after which the internet will work slower, people are actively discussing the fact that internet quality in Belarus has deteriorated even without these restrictions since last year.
«You know, my A1 internet was already complete sh*t, so I don't feel any difference,» complains an A1 subscriber. «MTS is also sh*t,» an MTS subscriber reassures.
«Life:. It was terrible, now it's even worse,» adds a third.
Some users also write that, for economy, they've started primarily using Wi-Fi at home, and yet they notice that even in this mode, traffic slowly disappears.
However, this doesn't happen because the operator is deceiving them in any way. This is how the 'Wi-Fi Assist' feature works, which connects to mobile internet when Wi-Fi starts to work poorly.
They are also looking for other life hacks to reduce mobile internet consumption.
