Kanapatskaya will stop being Kanapatskaya

Lukashenka's two-time sparring partner in the presidential elections announced the return to her maiden name.

As Hanna Kanapatskaya wrote on Facebook, on March 13 she submitted an application to the Civil Registry Office to revert to her maiden name — Trukhanovich.

She timed her decision to coincide with her parents' golden wedding anniversary.

Kanapatskaya hopes to become Hanna Anatolyeuna Trukhanovich again in two months, when the legally prescribed check is completed.
