Tsikhanouskaya's Office Awaits Confirmation from Ukrainian Side Regarding Visit to Kyiv Next Week
“I very much hope that we will be able to celebrate Freedom Day in Ukraine – the national holiday of Belarusians. A holiday that the regime ‘does not welcome’,” the democratic leader of Belarus stated in an interview with “European Pravda.”

Tsikhanouskaya stated that she is now awaiting confirmation regarding the dates from the Ukrainian side.
“We are also negotiating the substantive part. There are many issues here – logistics and security. And, of course, I want to come not empty-handed but to bring aid for volunteers. It is very important for me to support Ukraine now, because the fate of Belarus depends on the fate of Ukraine,” Tsikhanouskaya said.
She says that she knows such a visit would be a strong signal for Belarusians: “A signal that Ukraine stands for a free Belarus, that Lukashenka is a war criminal, that Belarusians and Ukrainians are together against Russian imperialism. This is truly important, because Belarusians look to Ukraine with great hope and perceive President Zelenskyy as a leader not only of Ukraine but of the entire region.”
“Believe me, every statement by President Zelenskyy in support of a free Belarus inspires people to fight against Lukashenka’s regime. When we saw that we had such a strong ally, people were greatly inspired,” she noted and called on Belarusians in Kyiv to bring white-red-white flags on Freedom Day.
A few days ago, it became known that the visit to Kyiv could take place around March 25. The agreement for the upcoming visit to the capital of Ukraine was reached during the meeting between Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Vilnius on January 25.
