A 23-year-old citizen of Belarus has been arrested in Poland, suspected of participating in a "bank employee" scam. The court has ordered his pre-trial detention for three months, police in Kielce report .

The incident occurred on March 16, when an unknown person called a 35-year-old woman from Kielce and, posing as a bank employee, informed her about an alleged threat to her funds. He convinced her that the money needed to be urgently transferred to a "secure account."
The woman, believing him and acting under stress, followed his instructions and lost her money. Later, partly thanks to warnings from bank employees, she realized she had fallen victim to fraudsters and contacted the police.
Law enforcement officers identified the suspect and arrested him in Wrocław. Following this, the court ordered the temporary arrest of the Belarusian for three months.
