Belarus is updating the rules for state registration of vehicles. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Alexander Turchin. Now, a vehicle inspection can be carried out at any traffic police department — this is done, as stated, for the convenience of citizens and organizations.

According to the new rules, legal entities no longer need to contact military registration and enlistment offices to register vehicles for mobilization needs. The need to request information at the place of issuance of documents when registering cars brought from the EAEU countries is also abolished.
The document specifies the procedure for registering vehicles made as a result of individual creativity. The rules are clarified if the owners of the vehicle are children under 14 years of age and adolescents from 14 to 18 years of age.
In addition, an official definition of the vehicle identification number is introduced and the procedure for photographing it for uniform inspection is described.
