For just one base value – 45 rubles – an estate with a rich history of over 200 years has been put up for sale once again. The property is located in Chachersk, Gomel region, and is being sold through the electronic platform of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange.

The building had previously been attempted to be sold multiple times. It all started with the Chachersk District Executive Committee offering the manor for 860 thousand rubles. Later, the price was halved, and eventually, they resorted to trying to sell it for at least one base value – however, no interested buyers have been found yet.
The 19th-century architectural monument, combining features of Romanticism and Late Gothic, is located in Chachersk at the intersection of Ulyanova and Internatsionalnaya streets. The ensemble's composition includes the manor house, remnants of a park, outbuildings, and stables.

The manor is a two-story, L-shaped brick mansion with an area of 1129 square meters. The building has been conserved and has not been in use for a long time, but it previously had all necessary utilities: central heating, sewerage, water supply, electricity, and ventilation. Elements of its former luxury – semicircular windows with architraves, a decorative cornice, balconies, and a summer terrace with openwork cast iron – have been preserved to this day.

Construction of the manor began in 1774 by the first Russian governor in Belarus, Field Marshal Count Zakhar Chernyshyov. In the early 20th century, the manor building housed a second-degree zemstvo school, which after 1925 was reformatted into a Belarusian school with seven grades of education.
After World War II, the former palace housed an evening school, a children's library, a Pioneer House, and a historical and ethnographic museum. Most recently, it was home to the Chachersk District Center for Crafts, Folklore, and Ethnography.
The architectural monument can be purchased through an auction, which will take place electronically on the website of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange on March 31. Applications for participation in the auction must be submitted by March 26.
The building has the status of a third-category historical and cultural value. Two years are allotted for repair and restoration work on the manor after purchase.
