“We want peace. We do not want a truce to give Ukraine a break and prepare for the continuation of the war,” Peskov said.
According to him, if Kyiv “is dominated by the desire to replace a deal with immediate unviable solutions,” then Moscow “is hardly ready to participate in this.”
“Now it's about whether we reach a deal, as President Trump says, or not… If the Ukrainians have and begin to be dominated by the desire to replace reaching a deal with immediate unviable solutions, then we are hardly ready to participate in this,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
“We want to stop this war, achieve our goals, secure our interests, and guarantee peace in Europe for the future,” Peskov said.
