A new batch of materials in the Epstein case has been published. Trump is mentioned again
The US Department of Justice has published the eighth batch of materials in the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein. This time, it's the largest volume of documents to date: about 10 gigabytes of data, including thousands of files — videos, audio recordings, photographs, investigative materials, evidence tables, and newspaper clippings. Among them are almost 400 video recordings, writes BBC;

One of the published emails claims that Donald Trump flew on Epstein's private jet much more often than previously thought. The letter is dated January 7, 2020, and is part of a correspondence concerning Epstein's flights. The authors of the letter are not named, but at the bottom, there is the signature of an assistant federal prosecutor for the Southern District of New York with the name redacted.
According to this document, Trump was listed as a passenger on at least eight flights between 1993 and 1996. Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's associate, was also present on some of them. The letter mentions that Trump flew with Marla Maples, his daughter Tiffany, and son Eric.
On one flight in 1993, only Trump and Epstein were listed as passengers, and on another, one more young man whose name is redacted. Two flights are also mentioned where women who could be witnesses in Maxwell's case were present.

The publication of documents is taking place under the "Epstein Files Transparency Act," adopted in November. It obligated the Department of Justice to publish all case materials within 30 days in a searchable format, removing information that could reveal the identities of victims. However, due to the large volume of information, the department stated it would do so gradually.
The US Department of Justice is being criticized by both lawmakers and Epstein's victims: many pages turned out to be completely blacked out, and, in their opinion, only an insignificant part of the available materials has been published. The situation has complicated Donald Trump's political standing: several congressmen, including from the Republican Party, are threatening lawsuits due to insufficient transparency of the publications.

Trump himself first commented on the "Epstein dossier," calling discussions around it an attempt to distract attention from his party's achievements. He admitted to knowing Epstein and that photos exist of them together but insists he committed no illegal acts. Earlier, Trump stated that their friendship ended in the early 2000s, long before Epstein's first arrest.
Financier Jeffrey Epstein was accused of human trafficking for sexual exploitation. According to the investigation, the businessman received sexual services from underage girls and "loaned" them to influential people.
In 2008, he pleaded guilty in a case of soliciting prostitution, including involving minors, and was sentenced to 18 months in prison, which he did not fully serve. In 2011, Epstein was released after serving 13 months in prison.
On July 7, 2019, he was arrested again, and a month later, on August 10, the businessman committed suicide in a prison cell in New York. He faced up to 45 years in prison, and dozens of witnesses and victims were ready to testify against the financier.
Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein were friends for many years, but in the mid-2000s, as Trump said, they had a falling out.
Previously, friendship with Epstein and participation in his sex parties cost Prince Andrew, brother of King Charles III of Great Britain, his royal title.
