Belarusian pilots to leave Tunisia after three-day detention 'soon'

The crew of the Mi-26 helicopter, consisting of two Belarusian citizens and seven Russian citizens, will depart from Djerba island in the near future, Russian diplomats promise. The pilots have been stuck in the transit zone of Djerba airport since December 19.

During a scheduled technical stop, it was discovered that the crew lacked permission to fly to the next destination.

"The problem was the absence of permission for the aircraft to fly to the next point on its route, which has not yet been obtained at this moment," reports the press service of the Russian Embassy.

According to RIA Novosti, diplomats have reached an agreement on the evacuation of the crew via commercial flights: "They will depart from Djerba to the capital of Tunisia, and from there will fly to Turkey on the nearest flights."

The crew of the Mi-26 helicopter, which was flying to Uganda, was held at Djerba airport for three days. The Belarusians and their Russian colleagues had their passports confiscated. All of them were working under a UN contract for "Kyrgyz Aviation Company".

Ну, гэта версія расійцаў. А ўсім жа ў свеце вядома, што расіі верыць нельга ніколі. Магчыма ёсць недзе каментар уладаў Тунісу?
