Orban — so far the only EU leader to agree to membership in Trump's Peace Council
The invitation to join the Council was sent to approximately 60 countries. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban remains the only leader among EU countries who has openly agreed to become a member of the Peace Council initiated by US President Donald Trump, writes "European Truth" (Evropeyska Pravda).

Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Egypt, Morocco, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kosovo, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Paraguay, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, and Armenia have officially expressed their desire to join Trump's initiative.
On January 20, Alexander Lukashenko was the first to sign a document on the country's accession to the Peace Council at Trump's invitation.
Among NATO members, only Turkey and Hungary have announced their decision to join. The latter is the only EU country that has agreed to be represented in the Peace Council.
Countries such as Norway, Denmark, and France have announced their refusal to be members of the American President's Peace Council. Other EU states either did not publicly comment on the invitation or stated that they needed more time to consider the proposal.
Among those invited are Ukraine and Russia. They have not yet given an answer.
