In Vitebsk, a scammer sent onions instead of gadgets to iPhone buyers
In Vitebsk, a 21-year-old man devised a simple scam scheme for Apple enthusiasts, reports the Prosecutor General's Office.

The guy posted ads online for iPhone 16 Pro Max at a low price, significantly below the market value. Then, after agreeing with buyers by phone, he sent them parcels with payment upon receipt. But instead of expensive smartphones, the recipients found very cheap items in the packages, for example, ordinary onions.
This scheme didn't last long — the enterprising Vitebsk resident was soon apprehended. But before that, he managed to defraud eight people for a total of 13,000 rubles.
As it turned out, this young man had previously been brought to criminal responsibility for a similar crime. Now he faces a new trial for large-scale fraud.
