Schoolboy Feared Drones Would Fly into Belarus, Gave Courier $30,000. He Hid the Money in His Long Johns
The family of a 12-year-old schoolboy contacted the police. An unknown person messaged the child in a messenger app and offered to be friends, then asked for their geolocation for a meeting.

After that, a pseudo-policeman contacted them, scaring the child by saying that military drones would fly to their coordinates and their mother would be put in prison, the metropolitan police report.
To save himself and his family, the child was demanded to take all his money and find his parents' savings. To put them in a bag and leave them under the bridge on Niamiha. And also to record all actions on video.
Detectives established that the money, about $30,000, was taken by an 18-year-old foreigner who flew to Belarus specifically on the fraudsters' assignment. He found this part-time job online.
The young man also counted the money on camera and hid them in his undergarments. After which, he took a train to a neighboring country. But he was detained by police officers.
The entire sum has been confiscated and will be returned to the family of the defrauded child.
