In the German city of Neuss (North Rhine-Westphalia), two Belarusians aged 34 and 21, and one Russian aged 26, are suspected of attempting to steal goods from a store, reports "Belarus and the World".
The incident occurred on Thursday, January 22, in a retail establishment on Niederstrasse. The men's actions were recorded by a surveillance system. They tried to take items without paying by removing their security tags.
At the exit, store security personnel approached the suspects. They attempted to flee, which led to a confrontation. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Two men were detained immediately at the scene, while the third, who managed to escape, was later apprehended by police in a bus based on a description. The stolen items, valued at thousands of euros, have been returned.
Two of the three arrested individuals were already known to law enforcement for similar offenses.
