Prestigious Districts of Minsk Turned into a Minefield — a New Problem

Although it's only mid-February and snow still lies on the ground, the first thaws have brought unpleasant discoveries to Minsk residents. As soon as the temperature rose slightly, the courtyards of the capital turned into a minefield.
A resident of a prestigious microdistrict near the National Library shared her impressions of walking her pet in her thread:
"Mayak! Just pain. We went out for a walk with the dog on the promenade. Well, it's just all covered in dog shit!! There's nowhere to step. All the yards too. I think my dog itself is very surprised. It's impossible to run without stepping in that shit. What's happening? Did everyone suddenly forget where bags come from?!"

According to the author, such a situation was not observed last year, nor during this winter. But now, people's culture has degraded.

The situation is so critical that even the animal itself refuses to play.
"My dog refused to play. It wants to sniff something, but there's just shit everywhere. I don't understand why people suddenly stopped cleaning up. Here, you can't even blame strays for anything, it's all our own," writes the author.

In the comments, the author received support. People believe that not only dog owners are to blame, but also this winter's weather conditions, which "spoiled" the owners:
"Now it's not scary to step on it, it's frozen, but what about when it gets warmer))). Yes, this year is especially horrible, unusually much snow, and also frosts. Dog owners have really relaxed, they don't clean up, even if the dog pooped right near the entrance or on the path. In previous years, there was no such horror."
To this, the author once again emphasized that the situation is worse precisely now, as it has gotten a little warmer:
"The snow is melting. Plus, people's trash has also appeared. A double combo."

Some users tried to explain the psychology and motivation of those owners who do not clean up after their pets:
"Your neighbors decided that the 'product' would fall through and be unnoticeable. This is their attitude towards problems. They believe that if you sweep the dust under the bed, it's as if it's not there."
This idea was supported by another participant in the discussion:
"Completely agree. It's impossible to walk. I personally saw how it happens; they just bury their dog's poop with their foot in the snow. And now it has all revealed itself. And why bother, with some bags..."

As it turned out, the problem is characteristic not only of "Mayak Minska" but also of all areas of the city:
"Lebyadiny — same story (( I have a dog, and I can't imagine going out and not cleaning up."
"I support this! Kurasoushchyna!!! Today I walked, literally every meter!!! I swore. Probably, if I saw someone poop and not clean up, I would attack with my fists!!! My dog always goes into this thicket away from the path, but I still go in to clean it up. And it's a whole quest not to step in it!!!"
"Kamennaya Horka is all covered."
"It's everywhere. Absolutely everywhere. I am shocked and deeply indignant. Yesterday I deliberately glared at everyone walking with dogs... I myself feel uncomfortable walking my dog. Not to mention that when you go to clean up after your own, it feels like walking through Vietnamese jungles."

One woman expressed the opinion that "some grandmas and children" are most often guilty of not cleaning up. However, the author of the post assured that they are far from being the only ones to blame:
"And just these kinds of guys, who think they're some stars, excuse my language. I personally saw it. Kids too."

However, there were also those who, without understanding, suggested:
"Ban these dogs in apartment buildings, that's all. Annoyed with the shit, and these dogs without leashes."
Naturally, such an aggressive position did not appeal to the author of the post, who herself is a responsible dog owner.
"So, you decided to write this comment under my post, when I have a dog? What were you guided by?" she asked.
The answer was laconic: "Read about dogs, a cry from the soul."
