“Services are monitoring and analyzing the movement of navigational marks and, if possible, may decide to open the airspace earlier. Only if it is safe. We ask passengers to follow the information from the airport and their airlines,” the National Crisis Management Center reported.

The airspace is restricted from 19:05 Lithuanian time (20:05 Belarusian time).

The last time Vilnius Airport was closed due to balloons from Belarus was almost two months ago, on December 6, 2025.
