Bulgaria denies information about inviting the pro-government Belarusian Union of Journalists to a forum in Sofia on anti-fakes
A few weeks ago, the BUJ boasted that its representatives had been invited to the forum "Artificial Intelligence and the Fight against Fake News."

On January 15, Pavel Latushka, Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus, sent a letter to Margarita Ganeva, the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Poland, informing her about the possible participation of a structure affiliated with the Lukashenka regime in an anti-fake forum in Sofia. This message prompted an investigation.
Subsequently, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs contacted the Union of Bulgarian Journalists (UBJ). UBJ Chairwoman Snezhana Todorova stated that no invitation had been sent to BUJ representatives, and their claim of participation was fake.
The forum's organizer, journalist Georgi Gotsev, also noted that he had no information about the supposedly invited propagandists, emphasizing the open nature of the event.
Thus, the fake "invitation" of the pro-government Belarusian Union of Journalists was completely annulled by Bulgarian journalistic structures and organizers.
