Belarusian Taekwondo Athletes Allowed to Compete Under Red-Green Flag
Taekwondo athletes from Belarus and Russia have been allowed to compete in international competitions under the state flags of their countries. This decision was made by the World Taekwondo (WTF) Council on January 31 at a meeting in Fujairah (UAE).

Previously, Belarusian and Russian athletes were prohibited from competing under state flags, but this restriction has now been lifted, citing a decision by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which allowed athletes from these countries to represent their nations at the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal in 2026.
Other restrictions remain in force for now: international competitions still cannot be held on Russian territory, and accreditation is not issued to government officials from Russia and Belarus.
