The next population census will be held in 2029

Inna Miadzvedzeva, Chairwoman of the National Statistical Committee, told journalists when the next population census in Belarus will take place, writes BelTA.

It will take place in October 2029.

An expert group has been created, including representatives of Belstat, mobile operators, and a cloud solutions provider. Methodological approaches have already been prepared, and the stages and deadlines for their implementation have been defined.

Census forms will be minimized. "We will take the maximum from administrative sources, pre-filling them (the goal is 50% compared to 10-20% previously) to save time and resources," explained Inna Miadzvedzeva.
